In fact, our Produce Department is the hallmark of what we stand for—fresh, flavorful quality from as close to home as possible. 

Based in the heart of California, Nugget Market has been dedicated to sourcing the freshest fruits and veggies from local farms and producers since the very beginning. With a special passion for produce, our co-founder, Mack Stille, used to personally travel to the produce markets seeking the highest quality goods to share with his guests—in those early days, sleeping on the ferry was about the only rest he got! 

Now a century later, we’re still dedicated to supporting agriculture in our area by offering as much local produce (and other great groceries) as possible. We partner with farmers, ranchers, and producers in our area to share a cornucopia of amazing fruits and vegetables with our guests year-round, all while supporting the communities we call home.
